National Meat Product Competition 2016 organised by NFMFT

The National Federation of Meat & Food Traders is pleased to announce that they will be holding a one day National Meat Products Competition on Monday 18th April at Foodex 2016, taking place at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) Birmingham.

The Federation will be returning to this event for the sixth consecutive occasion and are delighted once again to be working in association with Exhibition organisers William Reed.

The competition, the biggest and best yet, will include 20 categories and will see for the first time the inclusion of Charcuterie in addition to the standard favourites of sausages, bacon, burgers, ready meals and pies. Providing ample opportunity to win one or more of the 22 awards up for grabs, including Sausage and Supreme Champion Titles.

These competitions are open to all independent butchers, farm shops and food processors and have always proved to be very popular the length and breadth of the country. Success in these competitions has provided entrants with great opportunities to showcase their products and reap the rewards of local publicity to stimulate sales from customers both old and new as no doubt the 2015 Supreme Champion Mike Maloney of Maloney’s Country Butchers & Bakers would agree.

The competition will consist of a range of meat and pastry products across 20 categories as follows:
