Bakkavor toilet refurbishment completed to an ‘excellent standard’
KDH has completed refurbishment works, worth over £80k, to the toilets at Bakkavor Delicatessen in Spalding. The 11-week project involved removing existing walls, flooring and ceilings, adjusting the layout and refitting the whole area.
Works included installation of new ventilation, diversion of drainage runs, replacement of suspended ceilings and the laying of Quartz flooring in addition to fitting out and redecorating the toilets to KDH’s usual high standard.
Project Manager, Joe Deamer explains the problems KDH overcame to complete the job:
“This was a challenge for us to undertake this work as the toilets are located in a busy office block, with both office and factory staff using the area. KDH delivered a turnkey service as appointed principal contractor, utilising its different divisions to complete construction, electrical, ventilation and flooring works with minimal disruption on-site.”
Bakkavor Site Engineering Co-ordinator, Andrea Dawson said:
“The Deli toilets have been a great success we were able to tap into the excellent resource KDH has to offer which meant that even following a fairly major delay on our part KDH were able to deliver an excellent standard of work on time and on budget.”
