Sharpak extends low carbon status to protein trays

Prominent food packaging manufacturer Sharpak is announcing the availability of its ground-breaking c-LOW low carbon material across its protein packaging range 9following on from the success of c-LOW in mushroom punnets), assisting customers in meeting the Courtauld 2 commitment.
c-LOW is a blend of natural mineral-filled compound, UK-sourced post consumer waste, post industrial waste and virgin polypropylene providing a significant carbon reduction over conventional polypropylene punnets. The combination of a reduced reliance on virgin petro-chemicals, the use of reyclate and the eco-efficient rotary thermoforming production process all contribute to c-LOW's eco credentials and meet the Courtauld 2 commitment to improve resource efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.
