Foodex

More than 70 new exhibitors are set to make their debut at Foodex 2010. They join a strong list of over 200 companies, such as Reiser, Interfood Technology, Marel and Ishida Europe which, says organisers William Reed Business Media, demonstrates the continuing strength of the Foodex brand.

Well-known brands from every part of the food and drink sector will be in Birmingham from 21-24 March 2010, demonstrating the very latest products and innovations at each of eight specialist food and drink events, which make-up the largest shows in the sector for 2010. Over 1,100 exhibitors will fill halls 1 to 5 at the NEC, offering solutions for every aspect of food production and distribution as well as showcasing a host of new food and drink ideas.

Butchers and bakers will be put to the test with two new competitions joining the more established events at Foodex 2010 and the Baking Industry Exhibition (BIE) at the NEC, Birmingham from March 21-24.

Food and Drink exhibitions and shows give the industry at large the opportunity to appreciate the state of the art in different areas and current scientific and technological developments. Q Guild, the independent butcher's trade body, will be taking over the main event arena at Foodex 2010 on March 23 to stage a major new competition which asks entrants to create a stunning meat display.

Foodex 2010 is working with its exhibitors and an impressive list of market leading trade bodies and associations to demonstrate the latest innovations and technologies for the food and drink sector.

Foodex, the leading exhibition for the food and drink processing sector has been gaining increasing support from across the industry since its rebrand from Foodex Meatex in January. Leading trade associations for the sector including National Skills Academy for Food & Drink Manufacturing, Campden BRI and the International Agri-Technology Association have already pledged their support for the show and are providing top-level seminar content for the Foodex Business Briefing Theatre.

Foodex 2010, the new name for Foodex Meatex, will take place at Birmingham’s NEC on 21-24 March 2010. Foodex 2010 is the exhibition for anyone involved in food and drink processing, packaging and retailing. Following extensive research, William Reed Business Media took the decision to re brand in order to communicate the broad appeal of the show from meat, poultry, fish and dairy, through to vegetables, drinks and ready meals.
